Professional Membership Level
Member (MIHI)
Requirements
- Individuals must have either qualification obtained through examinations, such as a national diploma, certificate, or degree, or at least three years of experience in the hospitality or tourism industries or a minimum of two years’ experience in a professional role with significant responsibilities.
- Fee: €180 for a 12-month membership
Associate Member (AMIHI)
Requirements
- For those who do not yet qualify for MIHI, the IHI offers Associate Membership.
- 18 years of age
- Working in the hospitality, catering or tourism industries
- Working towards MIHI with a relevant professional qualification
- *Please note, other relevant professional qualifications achieved by examination will be taken into account in to qualify for MIHI membership
- Fee: €90.00 for a 12-month membership
Graduate Member (GMIHI)
Requirements
- Graduates from hospitality programs at IHI Academic Partner schools—TU Dublin, Shannon School of Hotel Management, TUS Athlone, and TUS Limerick—are eligible for a complimentary one-year graduate membership
- Additionally, current students at these institutions, whether enrolled full-time or part-time in hospitality programs, can also benefit from this complimentary membership offer
- Complimentary membership for the first year
Student Member (SMIHI)
Requirements
- Graduates from hospitality programs at IHI Academic Partner schools—TU Dublin, Shannon School of Hotel Management, TUS Athlone, and TUS Limerick—are eligible for a complimentary one-year graduate membership
